DC Comics - Blackest Night
Well, since I picked up my subscriptions at my home comic shop (Rebel Base Comics, shout out to Ian), and started reading this mini series, I must say a couple of things. This war of light theme going through the GL titles and the greater DC universe in general is great, but does DC need another mega event? The other thang I must say is, the whole gore/zombie shit that is currently permiating throughout comicdom is annoying the ish out of me, but that being said, the book gets a thumbs up/fist bump/high five from me, however there is some ish that needs some 'splaining': Like the whole power level of the resurrected DC Heroes via the Black Lantern rings? Anyway, til next post......Peace!

Healthcare for non-working individuals and ear infections
I have an GD ear infection, which has been kinda painful, but a new learning moment none the less. I have been out of work here in Charlotte for about 3 months ( and counting...) which means no healthcare for myself and spouse. Da Shorties are covered up, though. I have been using some family and internet recommended solutions on a try as I go basis.....A combo of some of these have eleviated alot of the symptons. Let's see, I have smashed a clove of garlic, place in a bowl with olive oil (cold pressed) and warmed it up (not HOT) and used a dropper to place in my ear. I have clean my ears with peroxide and warm water (flush) and have use a hot compress on side where ear is infected.
Ranting and Raving.....
I have been getting a lot of book suggestions lately and have been pleasantly surprised at how my library system (Mecklenberg County), selection on black related authors and topics have been available. I must say, keep the public library system alive by supporting it whenever possible.
